This knife is made in Japan by masters of their art.
The high-quality zirconia high-tech ceramic is produced using a process developed and patented exclusively by Kyocera. The underlying process is called hot isostatic pressing (HIP) and involves a press force of 20,000 t/m².
The knife is ground on one side according to an old Japanese tradition. That makes the Kyocera KT-200-HIP-D a knife for experts in the art of Japanese cooking. This blade form and the single-sided grinding have been used in Japan for centuries in the preparation of Sashimi and other fish dishes.
